Electrical & Computer Engineer
Marios Tyrovolas was born in Tripolis, Greece, in 1996. He received the BEng- Meng diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Rio, in 2020. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Ioannina, Greece, under the supervision of Professor Chrysostomos Stylios. At the same time, he is a collaborating researcher at Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus” (Patras, Greece). He participates in 2 research projects financed by the European Union (EU) and the Greek Government (PLANET4 & Dioni research project). His current research interests mainly focus on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, specifically applying Soft Computing methodologies (Fuzzy Cognitive Maps) in manufacturing processes. Furthermore, he is developing and programming Industrial Automation Systems (PLCs, SCADA, DCS). He has been a reviewer in International Conferences and International Journals.
