PhD candidate Marios Tyrovolas presented the research activity of the Laboratory in the field of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), introducing the idea of Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs) as promising models in the XAI space.

Moreover, on 3 October 2023, at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pisa, the Erasmus+ PLANET4 project partners, with the participation of the Laboratory of Knowledge and Intelligent Computing team, met for the project’s final phase. This meeting was decisive in defining the final steps for the completion of the project this month and its future direction. One of the main points was the discussion on the integration of the educational materials developed during the project into the curricula of the partner universities. The communication strategy of the material was also discussed, aiming at the wider benefit of the university community and ensuring the long-term impact of the project.

The partnership also discussed plans for an upcoming webinar to present the PLANET4 cookbook – a book/guide summarising the project’s key results, tailored for companies wishing to join the world of Industry 4.0 technologies.
