It was with great pleasure that we welcomed the 12th-grade students from the Economics and Information Technology track at the 3rd General High School of Arta to the Knowledge and Intelligent Computing Lab. The visit took place as part of a career orientation program, with the goal of introducing them to modern technologies and innovative applications.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about:

• Augmented Reality (AR) Applications: We showed them how augmented reality can be integrated into our daily lives and transform sectors such as education and tourism.
• The AMVRADIA project: Students learned about the innovative use of computer vision algorithms and saw firsthand how they are applied to monitor and track bird behavior. We explained how this technology works and its importance in environmental and agricultural applications.
• Drone Demonstration: The drone demonstration impressed the students, as we showed them how we control its flight and how it is used in various fields.

 

Particularly significant was the contribution of professors Ioannis Tsoulos and Chrysostomos Stylos, who spoke to the students about the importance of technology in modern societies and the opportunities it creates for professional development.
