Today, the Lab team welcomed a group of students from the 8th Elementary School of Arta and presented them with impressive augmented reality applications they have developed.
The team explained to the children how important technological advancement is by presenting the AMVRADIA project and introduced them to the world of computer vision algorithms, explaining how this technology enables the autonomous detection and recognition of objects. Through practical examples, the children understood how these algorithms can have a positive impact on many areas of our lives.
The highlight of the visit was the drone demonstration. The team explained how drones are used in various fields and how this technology makes it possible to carry out tasks that were previously difficult or impossible.
