In the BalkanMed INNOVA project the effort will be made:

– To stimulate entrepreneurial mindsets,
– To encourage innovative business start-ups, and
– To foster a culture that is friendlier to entrepreneurship and to the growth of small and medium-sized businesses

with special orientation to 4 economic areas of great strategic importance for the socio-economic development of the eligible countries, i.e.: Tourism & Cultural Heritage (TCH), Agribusiness (AGRI) which are both identified as the sectors which contribute to the national GDP of the involved in the project countries and/or have a significant growth potential, Information & Communication Technologies for Small-Medium Enterprises (ICT4SMEs) and Energy & Environment (EE), which can be treated both as independent sectors of business activity and as sectors with presence and application to every contemporary business.

The main target groups benefiting from the BalkanMed INNOVA project will be soon-to-be entrepreneurs, would-be-entrepreneurs and SMEs. They will benefit from the training courses, from the tutoring service available for the best business ideas & the business plan competition rewards. Moreover, graduates who want to keep being updated about the state of the art in the field of their studies. In addition, young PhD researchers, PhDs, young academics will majorly benefit from the TRANSNATIONAL TRAINING THE TRAINERS Day(s) which will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2018 and the network of trainers to be established.
