Objective of the Act: The design and development of an automated information system for monitoring and timely warning on the risk of floods in the Arachthos river.

The methodology for the implementation of the Act includes, among others, the following actions:

• the study of the current situation of the whole area,
• the building and operation of an electronic database,
• the creation of a model for risk assessment,
• the obtaining and installation of special equipment,
• the design and development of a Geographic Information System,
• the developing of an application to support decision making in case of floods,
• the designing and implementation of an integrated operating system for monitoring & timely warning in a graphical environment,
• the actions for a targeted informing of local authorities, bodies and citizens.
